Invercargill // Oreti River + Workingmen's Club Wedding

Updated: Mar 28, 2023

What a an awesome day for Sariah & Ryan!

Ryan and the guys got ready at home with a few cheeky glasses of port. Sariah & the bridesmaids had an air Bnb and enjoyed some bubbles before getting Sariah all dressed up in her gorgeous gown.

The ceremony was held towards Daffodil Bay. We had a bit of rain, wind and sunshine over the course of the afternoon. Sariah did a first look with her brothers before walking down the aisle - which was really sweet.

The flower man danced his was down the aisle before the bridesmaids and finally Sariah & Dad. They had a beautiful ceremony with vows that brought a few tears to eyes!

Otatara is such a good spot to take photos - there are a ton of cool locations to suit any weather. We went with the river and then tree lane to escape the wind!

The reception was held at the Workingmens Club. They had little envelopes on each table with paper and a pen. Everyone has to write messages to the couple and on each corresponding year of marriage they would open that envelope & read messages!

The first dance was a snowball waltz, where it starts with the couple dancing, who then break off and pick someone else to dance with, who then real off and pick someone… until the whole wedding is up dancing! They had such a fun day and the party will have been going until the small hours!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Blair! 🥂

"My hubby and are don't really jump at the opportunity to be in front of a camera but really wanted our wedding captured for our memories. I came across Brogan on google as I was searching photographers in the Southland region and her website was the first website to catch my eye.

We had our first face to face with Brogan and can whole heartedly say she was 1 of the most genuine and kind ladies I had ever met and made me feel comfortable from the get go! My partner and I then did our engagement shoot with Brogan (very very nervous) and she made everything feel so natural, was very easy to talk to and get along with.

I would 100% recommend Kiwi Captures for all your photography needs! She captured our wedding day perfectly and have made us absolutely obsessed with our wedding photos!!"
