What exactly is an elopement?

An elopement is an intentionally small gathering with the ones you love (or just yourselves). A wedding day that is centred around the two of you, committing yourselves to one another in a way that is meaningful and authentically you, without the performance of a big wedding day.

It is about creating a space where you can say your vows to each other, cry, laugh and spend the day soaking up all of the beautiful things that make you the perfect match for each other.

It can be a day of saying your vows at sunrise or sunset, getting a helicopter up a mountain or hiking into a beautiful waterfall. It can be camping with 15 of your best friends and celebrating around the campfire – anything you dream up!

Brogan was the photographer we chose for our helicopter elopement in Fiordland. An elopement is super intimate and when having a wedding with such few people around, every single person is memorable.

The couple of days we had with her (cause our wedding day wasn't the mountain wedding we hoped for, and we got to fly the next day too) was awesome.

She had us completely at ease and even took away the stress of coordinating with Fiordland Helicopters (who are also great) for us when the weather was looking dicey for our wedding day. The turnaround time was great and our photos and the album she put together for us were fantastic, of great quality and truly captured our day and what we were all about"
