This was a maternity shoot of a different kind!

Lena has spent her entire pregnancy juggling her horse, nurse cow and calves and lambs all while running her own business.

She wanted her maternity session to reflect that and I think we nailed it!

The fact we managed to get the horse, calf, Lena in heels and golden hour sunlight all in one shot was pretty damn magic - see for yourself.

With an aurora alert out with a KP7 reading we headed out to Oreti Beach to have a cute little night-shoot.

My idea was to have Anneke and AJ sitting in chairs, enjoying popcorn and wine while watching the lights show.

In reality you can't usually see an aurora to the naked eye. If you are lucky there will be some dancing white lights but that is all. We hit the jackpot and got a very intense display and actually saw colour to the naked eye!

So not only did the shot look good, they actually did have a light show to watch!

Going for something a little more styled we decided a vintage car shoot would be a little fun!

Marc and Knicole have been friends for years and were total naturals in front of the camera. Even the cat decided to get amongst it - and with that little beauty spot he quite the cat model.

I stopped off in Cromwell on my way home from Wanaka one weekend to visit Bridget and meet her new puppy Teddy!

Golden Retrievers are my favourite dogs - they have such a kind nature and who does not love those big goofy grins permanently stuck to their faces?

So we took little Ted for a walk to see the ducks and have a splash.

Prepare for an extreme puppy cuteness overload!

I have been wanting to go and shoot couples for a while now and Jess and Dave were game! With over 1000 acres of farm to chose from we were not lacking in locations - here are a few shots from our fun wee shoot. These guys are such a fun couple, I had a blast taking these!

I have been wanting to play around with doing a more grunge styled shoot for a while now. Knicole was up for it and we shot this down by the old railway station in Invercargill.

These shots really lend themselves to being black and white but I love bright graffiti as well... So i opted for a mix of the two.

The level of sass being thrown was right on point too!
