Shawnee & Mat had the PERFECT wedding day in the Catlins.
With family & friends (+ themselves) flying over from Australia, the Catlins put on a scorcher of a day with bluebird skies and no wind.
Shawnee had a very specific vision of her day with the most incredible details. She thought of everything and the day came together exactly as planned.
The girls got ready at the Pounawea Lodges in front of the beach - these are awesome rooms for taking photos because of the white walls and big windows.
We went outside to get some photos before everyone got dressed up in front of the beach.
Mat and the guys got ready on site at River Ridge.
They had the most gorgeous ceremony with both Mat & Shawnee's Mums walking down the aisle first as flower girls!
It was a really emotional ceremony with beautiful handwritten vows. I actually found myself shedding a few tears as well!
After doing the family photos and having a little down time we headed off to the tree lane to get some classic portraits before adventuring to the Purakaunui Falls to get something a little more dramatic!
The reception set up was just stunning. Along with the outside dance floor!
Halfway through their dinner I snuck Shawnee and Mat away for a few quick photos in the last of the golden hour light before it disappeared behind the hill and i'm so pleased I did.
It was such an incredible day spent with all of their loved ones.
