Aleisha and Drew had the most beautiful, romantic wedding day in Clyde.
A week before the wedding I had done an engagement session with the two of them and found out that Drew’s older brother Andy, who was in the army and stationed in Norway, had been denied leave to attend the wedding. He was Drew’s best man and you could tell he was pretty devastated.
We arrived at the house the whole bridal party was getting ready at (this is a great idea, if you had a house with two separate wings!) and found out that Andy had been given leave and flew in to surprise Drew the night before!
So everyone was in great spirits and really on a good buzz that morning.
Amy & I flitted between the guys and girls prep all morning.
Willow the dog was hanging out and getting hyped up with all of the action!
After the guys had left for the venue, the girls got into their gowns (looking so stunning) and Aleisha presented her parents with handsewn handkerchiefs with personalised massages on each. Cue all of the tears – I couldn’t even photograph them without crying.
At the Orchard Gardens you have to walk through a maze to get to the ceremony area. It was a scorching hot day and the only shade was the big tree in the middle.
After a intimate and heartfelt ceremony we whipped off with the full bridal party to get some photos up above the Alexandra clock.
The water below was turquoise, and the thyme smelt amazing.
The reception area was lit with candles and fairy lights and created a beautiful ambient glow.
It was a night of good speeches, great food and epic dancing!
