Summer is turning up the heat and it was an absolute scorcher for Tegan & Luke’s Otatara wedding on Friday.
Luke & his groomsmen had a very busy morning setting up the last bits and pieces for the ceremony/reception which were held at his parents house in their garden. In between carting things around they managed to get ready and out to Sandy Point for the first look.
Tegan was getting ready in town with her bridesmaids and family. Her poor Mum had an accident the day before and broke her ankle, but was still in great spirits and ready for the big day! They had a beautiful space to get dresses in and a huge staircase for a dramatic father/daughter first look.
In need to some shade we went out to the forest at Daffodil Bay for some photos before heading out to Branxholme. Luke maintains bridges (this one as well!) and loves this particular bridge - so we had to go and get some photos there. It was super busy with people out swimming and enjoying the good weather.
Bang on time they arrived back in Otatara for a quick ceremony. Matilda the couple daughter came down the aisle blowing bubbles and guests sipped champagne. They had a beautiful ceremony and walked out to dried flowers being tossed!
This flowed into the reception, which was in a marquee out the back. Amazing styling and decorating (I can’t fit it all into this post) with not only a candy bar, but an ice cream bar for dessert too!
When it came to hitting the dance floor, everyone got involved - even Tegan’s Mum had a dance with Luke in her wheelchair and casted leg!
It was a day totally filled with love and happiness all round. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Wells! 🥂
