Walk to site: 2 mins from parking bays

Notes: Best for sunset! I like to use the South end of the beach as often nobody is down there, so you have the entire beach to yourself. 
Has a beautiful outlook over the entire beach from up in the sand dunes.
Invercargill
Oreti Sands Golf Links

Distance from Invercargill City Centre: 12 min drive
Walk to site: 5 mins down a tar seal road
Dogs: Yes
Amenities: None
Notes: Great space for family photos - golden grass is beautiful any time of day.
Also a good spot for wedding photos with vintage car's that can't go down gravel roads. 
Sandy Point Forest 

Distance from Invercargill City Centre: 12 min drive
Walk to site: 2 mins from car park
Dogs: On lead in some areas - not allowed on the bike tracks
Amenities: Toilets
Notes: Best light is in the morning or mid day/early afternoon.
Good spot for bridal parties that want photos with vintage cars that can't go down gravel roads. 
Daffodil Bay

Distance from Invercargill City Centre: 20 min drive (5 mins a down gravel road)
Walk to site: 2 mins
Dogs: Yes, on a lead
Amenities: Toilets & Picnic Tables

Notes: Best light is in the morning or late afternoon in the forest. 
Good spot for bridal parties on hot, sunny days.
Estuary Boardwalk

Distance from Invercargill City Centre: 5 min drive
Walk to site: 5 - 15 mins depending on where you park.

Dogs: Yes on lead.
Amenities: None

Notes: Best light is golden hour (the 1.5 hrs before sunset & 1.hr after sunrise)
Can be quite busy with cyclists & runners in the weekend.
Queens Park

Distance from Invercargill City Centre: 2 min drive
Walk to site: 2 mins from car park (multiple different parking locations)
Dogs: Yes on a lead.
Amenities: Toilets, Playground, Park Benches & Cafe.

Notes: Lots of areas to use no matter what the weather is doing. Particularly beautiful in the Spring & Autumn.
Great location for families. 
Queens Park - Botanical Gardens

Distance from Invercargill City Centre: 2 min drive
Walk to Site: 2 - 5 mins depending which car park you use.
Dogs: No
Amenities: Toilets Outside

Notes: Opened for restricted hours 10am - 4pm
A great location on freezing cold. rainy days! 
Anderson's Park

Amenities: Toilets, Playground & Picnic Tables

Notes: Lots of variety - great for bridal parties & family photos. 
Gravel drive on the way in, but lots of parking available.

Notes: A few different little alleyways in the city centre have either graffiti or textured brick walls. Good for the urban feel.
