Sophie & Dan had a stunning wedding on their property in Invercargill. It takes so much work to get everything ready for a wedding at home and the property was immaculate. They did such an incredible job.
Dan got ready home, while Soph was at an Air Bnb down the road. They met at home to do a first look on the lawn before heading out to get photos with the cars. Dan loves cars and managed to get two of a particular car he loves for the wedding photos (I am clearly clueless when it comes to cars because all I can tell is that it was red 😅)
We went out to the racetrack at Teratonga and almost got blown away in the wind! They got to go for a bit of a drive down the track which was cool and then we found some shelter in the forest.
Dan’s grandmother made a korowai for him to wear - it was so special to see her putting it on him 🥰 The ceremony was awesome and everyone enjoyed drinks and nibbles on the lawn in the sun.
The reception was held in a marquee in the paddock. The bridal party threw shots out to the crowd as they entered and then some great speeches commenced.
For the first dance they trick Sophie’s Mum into thinking they were using a song she absolutely loathes by playing the into and waiting to her reaction, then switching to something a little more romantic.
They had such a fun day with loved ones and it was a really relaxed afternoon with friends and family who had travelled to celebrate with them!
