Mossburn // Spring Wedding on the Family Farm

Richie & Sabine got married on a beautiful sunny day at the Christie Farm in Mossburn on Friday. The farm has been in the family for over 100 years and Richie is 4th generation to farm this land!

He got ready with his friends at home while Sabine got ready in Te Anau. It was a bittersweet day for her - with all of her family in Germany and only able to watch via livestream.

The had a first look down at the river across from the farm & said their private vows together. (This is a great idea for couples wanting to keep personal vows for themselves and read the more generic ones in front of guests at the ceremony).

The lawn at the far was set up with bay bales & an arch. Toby the dog walked down the aisle too! It was a beautiful ceremony followed by lawn games and drinks in the garden surrounded by blossom trees!

The reception was in a marquee in the backyard with handmade soaps Sabine made as guest favours! They had a surprise video from Germany with well wishes from friends and family too. All of the meat served was from the farm & apple strudel for dessert!

As the sun set we snuck away with Toby & took some sunset photos up on the hill overlooking that farm. Then back to the party for a big night of celebrating!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Christie 🥂
