The biggest pain point for anyone trying to plan a proposal in the winter is working around the weather. It can change so quickly and often we get lots of rain and cold temperatures. Well Emmanuel picked the best morning ever for his surprise proposal to Natalie!

We hiked into Tasman Valley for sunrise (I was creeping behind them in the distance) and made our way down the steep rocks to the lakefront. Emmanuel dropped to one knee and as he did, a couple of paradise ducks flew overhead! They mate for life, so I think this was a pretty good omen.

After Natalie recovered from the shock, we had some Cloudy Bay bubbles and took some photos to celebrate. The perfect morning full of lots of laughs!

Man kneels proposing to woman by an icy lake with snow-capped mountains and birds in the sky, creating a serene, romantic scene.
Couple embraces on rocky shore with icy lake and snow-covered mountains in background. Overcast sky, serene mood.
