Seasonal Wedding Planning Inspiration

One of the first things to decide when planning your wedding is, when are we going to do this?

There is not really a typical ‘wedding season’ anymore and couples are embracing all seasons and pulling off some incredible days, no matter what the weather.

Here are 4 weddings that fully embraced the season.

Spring

Think newborn lambs, daffodils, and blossoms! Everything is coming to life after a cold winter and there is suddenly all this colour. This is a shoot we put together in the blossom lane at The Hideaway 201 in Winton. We wanted to embrace the soft romantic tones of the blossoms and create some cute styling to match.

Summer

When I think of summer it is the long hot days and festivals! Sarah & Cam had a tipi wedding at Dublin Bay in Wanaka, and this screams summer festival to me. With food trucks for dinner and a dance floor that spilled out onto the grass.

Autumn

Central Otago does Autumn so well – the trees go these golden amber and rich red colour as the leaves turn. Luchia & Julian planned an intimate wedding at Oliver’s Restaurant in Clyde. They have a big wall of vines that hang down the side of the building and in the Autumn, they turn red!

Winter

Don’t let the cold turn you off a winter wedding – Queenstown is at it’s best with snow capped mountains and stunning sunsets. Ashleigh & Jordan made the most of the snow, getting a helicopter into the mountains! They also had mulled wine and hot chocolate ready for their guests on arrival to the ceremony.
