So many incredible little details come together for Sam & Jono on their wedding day. They came over from Australia to get married at The Lookout Lodge in Wanaka!
They both got ready at the lodge, with the kids and their bridal party. We did a first look out in the paddock overlooking the mountains. Sam surprised Jono with some custom cuff links she had made with a photo of Jono and his late brother when they were kids ❤️
They had this bright blue vintage car the Jono was dying or have a hoon around in, so we went down the road so he could rev it up a little, they could do a champagne pop and gets some photos with the crew!
The sun was beating down when everyone arrived for the ceremony. They both said the most beautiful words to each other in their vows. Another little surprise was pulling up Jono’s parents to exchange rings and have a first kiss - they have been married 30 years and never got to have a first kiss at their church wedding, so 30 years later they got that first kiss!
The afternoon involves a bit of cake, a champagne tower and a heli flight to Twin Peaks. They views were incredible - but with a bit of snow still up there it was pretty fresh!
What better way to make a dramatic entrance to the reception, than landing a helicopter on the lawn? Then it was time for speeches, good food, lots of drinks and partying the night away! 🥳
