Winton // Backyard + Riverton Rocks wedding

Last wedding for 2024 was Meri and Jackson’s backyard wedding in Winton on Friday.


It was a real Southland four seasons in one day situation! The pair had come back from Australia to tie the knot and you could tell it was so special for everyone to have them home again.


They both had very relaxed mornings before meeting at the Winton cricket ground to do a first look. Then it was off to the beach at Riverton for photos with the crew!


The wind was hectic, but we battled through it and (the veil had a life of its own, wrapping up Meri and even Jackson at one point). The whole bridal party were troopers and were enjoying just being together!


Then it was back to Winton for the ceremony. A beautiful set up with flowers lining the aisle. Meri got caught on a rose bush as she started down the aisle which gave her a laugh. They had a lovely intimate ceremony, walking out to showers of rose petals.


Then guests had an afternoon of snacks (with the pizza truck!) and enjoying the sun when it decided to show up. Their reception was at the Hideaway that evening which I’m sure was an epic party with all of their loved ones!

Backyard + Riverton Rocks wedding in Winton


"Brogan was amazing to deal with and made us feel at ease right from our first discussion with her. She was very organised and really went above and beyond in not just taking care of our photography needs, but also helping out with our other wedding prep by sending through a detailed spreadsheet with a range of different vendors’ details.


On our wedding day she brought a really fun, calm and laidback vibe to our wedding shoot, whilst also being very professional. She gave us lots of direction and made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera and captured so many amazing shots!


Within 24 hours of our wedding she provided us with our sneak peak photos (over 70 photos which was awesome to be able to look through that many photos so soon after our wedding!), then we received the full photo gallery back less than a month after our wedding, along with a pen drive and a range of printed photo packages hand delivered for our whole bridal party and parents - such a nice touch!
